At Brandesburton Primary School we deliver an Enterprise curriculum.  Mrs Prince leads this as our Enterprise Champion.  Children learn about leadership, teamwork and financial literacy.

2017 Started with a flourish as children from KS2 organised and ran another successful Re-loved, Reused and Recycled sale.  Thank you for all the donations you gave.

In the 2015/16 school year the children organised a packed year of events and fund raising ideas.  The Christmas decorations they designed and made were sold at the school Christmas Fair and a firm favourite, reindeer dust, was also sold just before Christmas.

In March 2016 our Year 6 pupils organised an Enterprise Leap Year event for their fellow pupils and a Re-use, Re-Sale, Re-Cycle Sale for parents and children. Everyone was asked to come into school in recycled clothing either borrowed or made and a timetable of leap year themed games were set up by Year 6.  The leap year games were thoroughly enjoyed by all, frogs were leaping all over the school hall. The sale was a great success, unused presents, books, toys and jewellery were resold to raise just over £400.00.

In 2016 Mr Hayes agreed to be our business partner, .  He came to talk to us about how we can raise money through running our own business.  Mr Hayes put us in touch with a company called Simply Shredding.  This company takes confidential waste paper and shreds it for other companies. The shredded paper is then sold to other companies who use it in other products.

Our Year 6 children went to Simply shredding to find out about running a business taking with them some of the waste paper they collected.  Simply Shredding paid them £1.00 for each bag this then went into the Enterprise fund.

Below are some of examples of our enterprise curriculum:-
